Key Accomplishments of Reporting Year In FY 2010, Wing Memorial Hospital and Medical Centers: - completed a Community Health Needs Assessment - continued to fund the part-time Public Health Nurse in Belchertown - continued to fund the part-time nurse at the Palmer Senior Center - assisted patients with enrolling in health care insurance and SNAP (food stamps) - trained college students of area colleges and universities majoring in health care careers - mentored high school students interested in pursuing a career in health care
Plans for Next Reporting Year In FY 2011, Wing Memorial Hospital and Medical Centers will look to: - further examine results of Community Health Needs Assessment - expand behavioral health programs to community - continue to fund part-time public health nurse in Belchertown and part-time nurse at Palmer Senior Center - continue to assists patients with enrolling in health insurance and SNAP - continue to mentor and train the future health care workforce

Community Benefits Leadership/Team Wing Memorial Hospital and Medical Centers' Community Benefits leadership is comprised of senior management and department managers in nursing, social work, finance, and home health who are members of the Community Benefits Advisory Committee (CBAC).
Community Benefits Team Meetings The coordinator of Wing Memorial's Community Benefits program reports to the President and CEO, meets periodically with senior management, and meets with managers who are members of the CBAC.
